ChimpChat is retired

ChimpChat was my local AI voiceover studio: text-to-speech with full voice cloning, running 100% on your own PC. Cast voices, direct the performance, and export finished audio for videos, games, and podcasts. No cloud, no subscription, no usage caps. Your GPU is the studio.

Its Coming Soon page went up on Steam in August, and then Valve straight up retired it. We had no say in it. So ChimpChat is retired.

Why? My read: they're worried about its power. A full voice cloning studio that runs entirely on your own hardware, with no cloud in between, is a lot of power to put on anybody's desk.

Which is honestly kinda cool? lol.

There's plenty more on the way. Eldritch Tricks, a cooperative trick-taking game where every trick is played against Father Dagon, is coming soon to Steam, and the rest of what I'm building is on the main page.
